Gmunga reporting in :p

Well hello there. I noticed that a couple of people had made these introductions and decided to give it a try.

As you have likely deduced I go be Gmunga online and can be found on many sites and games with some variation of the name, usually followed by the number 5. My really name is Garret which is where the g comes from and I live in Ireland, Northern Ireland technically but I won't go into the politics here. I am 18 and am currently doing A-levels in Technology, computer science, maths and physics as I hope to study engineering in the near future. I have had some proven succes in the field as I was awarded an Arkwright engineering scholarship.

Personally I believe my love for building and engineering started at a young age as a result of Lego. I still remember my first set, a Lego castle of some kind (the exact name eludes me) which started me down a wonderful and enjoyable path. After several long years of playing with Lego I, like many others, discovered minecraft. The promise of a world of near infinite possibilities fascinated me and I bought the game as soon as i was able to, version 1.2.5 or some time before that. The thrill of the game grabbed hold of me and I loved every second that I played of it. I remember building castles and towns and then I began to play multiplayer servers which changed the game again because I began to see how fun the game could be with friends.

After atleast two, maybe three, years of playing minecraft I stumbled across a YouTube video showcasing starmade. As a fan of the star wars universe and minecraft I was drawn to the game. I loved starmade and it has only gotten better with all the features they have added recently like npc factions and the logic system. As a former redstone enthusiast from my time in minecraft I loved the idea of the logic system, however I never truly used it as much as I should have because it always ended up feeling like it was wasting space that should be used for more important systems.

Which is where my interest in sky wanderers fits in. I recently saw a post in the starmade Reddit that linked to a video about this game. The second I saw the footage I was interested and then the logic sealed the deal. Sky wanderers looks like it will combine the best pieces from it's competition and improve on them. The small block feature is being used for logic, seats and control looks to me like a ground breaking inobation that will set this game apart.

Yeah I am interested to see where the building mechanics are similar to starmade and where they differ. From what I have seen this game appears to give more options when it comes to interior detailing and at present the subsystems don't appear to take up much room which should be a nice change from SM.
