Duplicate Block into Hand

Nice feature to have would be to be able to point to any object in the game world and click the 'middle' mouse button to have that object duplicated and become active in the selected item bar slot.

Nice suggestion, actually I am working on advanced command right now for the next build, I did a couple already including undo/redo, so I will add it.
Just a question : are you suggesting middle mouse because it is a standard feature in other game ? I started to implement my commands with CTRL-[KEY] because they are advanced (and cheated, only for creative) commands.
Also I had in mind something similar but with a different use case : a select block tool, were you start to make a selection of blocks/bricks, then hit CTRL-C and it creates a new item which is a composite of all the block, then you can build it like any other block. Not sure how it will turn.

Middle Mouse button is used for this function in Minecraft Creative Mode.

Ok lol I am such a noob. I already coded the function at CTRL-T but I will assign it to a mapable entry with default as middle mouse then.

Ok so this was released in the build of 2017-01-09. You can CTRL-Middle Click to pick a color only. You can remap the middle click to another key. Thanks for suggestion !
